We hope many of your
questions will be answered below, otherwise please
feel free to contact us. Be sure to also visit our
Policy page.
Are all moonwalk
companies the same?
No they are not. The services and
moonwalks offered may not be the same. Some
companies may offer lower prices but often this is
due to the lower quality or age of their equipment,
they may not carry liability insurance and they may
not inspect, clean and sanitize their equipment.
Do you inspect, clean and
sanitize your moonwalks?
Wacky NAAK’s Moonwalks & More
inspects, cleans and sanitizes our moonwalks after
each rental. The moonwalk you receive will be
inspected, cleaned and sanitized prior to your use.
Do you have insurance?
Wacky NAAK’s Moonwalks & More
carries liability insurance on all of our rentals.
If your event needs "PROOF OF INSURANCE", we will be
happy to supply you with the documentation. There is
a small fee to be named as additionally insured.
Just let us know when booking your order, and we'll
include the document with your contract agreement.
How far in advance should I
make my reservation?
Moonwalks are reserved on a
first-come first-served basis so we encourage you to
make your reservation as soon as possible. With the
increasing popularity of moonwalks we can book-up
weeks or even months in advance. Make your
reservation early.
How long is my rental period?
There is a 4 hour minimum charge
however you may rent the moonwalk for more or less
time and we will work with you to meet the needs of
your event. Delivery and pick up times may occur up
to a few hours before and after your event due to
routing and scheduling. If you require a specific
delivery or pick-up time please inquire at the time
of reservation, we will do our best to accommodate
your needs.
Is there a delivery charge?
We deliver to a wide area,
however depending on the distance to your set up
location an additional fee may apply, please contact
us and we can tell you if there is an additional
charge.
What is required for the setup
area?
Please check your set up area
requirements before making a reservation. We can
set-up outdoors or indoors. The area will need to be
a minimum of 5 feet larger than the moonwalk in all
directions. The set up area will need to be within
75ft. of an 110v, 20 amp dedicated-circuit,
otherwise a generator will be needed. For outdoors,
moonwalks should be set up on a flat surface, a very
minor slope will be ok. It is best to set up on
grass, which allows for staking of the moonwalk and
is also the safest for kids. The ground area must be
free from anything that could damage the moonwalk,
such as sticks, rocks, animal droppings, etc. The
set up area should be a safe distance from any
overhanging hazards such as power/telephone lines
and branches. Be sure to consider any underground
hazards such as utilities and irrigation systems,
the moonwalks stakes go up to 30” into the ground.
If underground utilities are a concern, if possible
you should contact the utility companies or JULIE
(Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators)
at 1-800-892-0123 to have the area marked prior to
delivery. We will not set up in the mud. If you are
setting up indoors please be sure that there is
sufficient height and space for the moonwalk. Sand
bags will be used for indoor set ups.
What power is required?
The blower requires an 110v,
20amp, dedicated-circuit within 75ft of the moonwalk
set up area, otherwise a generator will be needed.
What should we do if the
blower stops?
The most important thing to do is
to remain calm and have everyone exit the moonwalk.
The moonwalk will gently deflate.
First check the blower to see if
it has been turned off or unplugged, be sure to also
check the extension cords. If needed, plug it back
in, turn on the blower and the moonwalk will
re-inflate. If the blower became unplugged because
the moonwalk moved you may need to reposition the
moonwalk and tighten the tethers. Make sure the
blower tube is not kinked and air is flowing freely
to the moonwalk.
The blower may also have stopped
due to a tripped circuit. If the circuit was
tripped there is probably too many items on the same
circuit either unplug other items from the circuit
or plug the blower into another circuit. The blower
requires an 110v, 20amp, dedicated-circuit within
75ft of the moonwalk set up area, otherwise a
generator will be needed.
If the blower we provided is
equipped with a Watch Dog device, the siren will
sound if the power to the blower stopped or
interrupted. You will need to reset the Watch Dog
device for it to offer protection.
If you are not able to get the
blower to start following the above suggestion,
there may be a problem with the blower. Contact us
at 1-630-595-0585.
Can the units be used in
rainy, inclement weather?
Absolutely not! The units are
electrical and the material becomes dangerously
slick. High winds (over 20mph) could cause the
moonwalk to become airborne and cause serious
injury.
What should we do if it starts
to rain?
If it begins to rain have
everyone exit the moonwalk. If the rain is light and
appears that it will only rain for a short period of
time leave the unit running but do not use the
moonwalk. Once the rain stops towel dry the surfaces
to prevent slipping. If rains are heavy or if it
appears it will rain for an extended period of time
turn off the blower and cover or move the blower to
a covered area, untie the tethers from one side and
fold the moonwalk over on itself once and then cover
with the tarp provided. Be sure to stake or bungee
the tarp. When in doubt it is always best to turn
off the blower and follow the procedures above for
covering the moonwalk and blower. When the rains
stop remove the cover tarp, retie the tethers,
install and turn on the blower and towel dry the
surfaces to prevent slipping. Failure to cover the
moonwalk or blower may result in an excessive
cleaning or damage fee.
What should we do if there are
high winds?
If there are high winds or gusts
over 20mph have everyone exit the moonwalk
immediately and turn the blower off. If the moonwalk
begins to lift off the ground have everyone exit the
moonwalk immediately and turn the blower off. The
following chart can help you determine wind speed:

Is there anything we need to
do once the moonwalk has been delivered and set up?
-Supervision is mandatory at all times.
-Periodically check the tethers to ensure they are
properly connected to the ground stakes and/or sand
bags and remain tight.
-Periodically check that the moonwalk is still in
its original set up location and has not shifted.
-Periodically check to make sure the blower tube is
not kinked and that air is flowing freely to the
moonwalk.
-Periodically check to make sure that all zippers
are securely closed so air does not escape the
moonwalk.
-Most
importantly, have fun!
What happens if we damage the moonwalk or other
equipment?
We do not offer damage insurance.
With proper set up and adherence to the rules things
should be okay. If damage occurs you will be
responsible for the repair or replacement costs.
What if I have problems during
my party?
